Glock darn it.

A holster’s job is to hold the object it carries where it is easily retrieved from a consistent location and orientation on the wearer. If the object is flopping about in the holster, the holster is not doing that job. Glock has apparently been making subtle generational changes to their main line that make it so Mockingbird has to have unique styles for each generation.

The Gen 5 trigger guard is just a touch thinner, so the retention tooth doesn’t hold it the same.

Glock appears to have been subtly thinning out their trigger guards as it’s progressed through generations. I can tell from the laser scans, but also from how they fit in the holsters. A Gen 5 Glock fits loose in a holster for a Gen 4 Glock, and a Gen 6 fits even looser. I don’t think this is Glock merely being cheap, as the thinner trigger guards are a genuine ergonomic improvement.

I’ve updated the G26 listing to state that it’s specifically for Gen 4. Individuals purchasing holsters should be aware of what generation the holster was designed around before purchasing. I was kind of hoping to not multiply the style numbers by the amount of Glock generations in circulation, but I’d rather have the holsters fit well.

Maybe a little faster than that.
