Maybe a little faster than that.

Looking Back

September was unproductive for Mockingbird, but the extremely modest development goals were achieved. Barely. If we want to claim that September didn’t end until today.

Planned support for the P365 family has been completed, consisting of the P365, the P365 X (we got that one for free), the XL, and the XMACRO. There are other members of the P365 family, but I can’t find good casts of them, so I’m not planning on making designs for them unless somebody tells me “I love your holsters, but when are you going to make one for the P365 fuse?”

Design revisits have been completed, for now. The Shield holster should not have been so thick, and the updated design works significantly better. The rest of the catalog already had the kind of draw force curve that I’m looking to have.

Marketing plans for next year began with the discovery that the earliest local gun show is in January next year. That’s going to be a new one.

Looking Ahead

I want to say I’m well-rested and ready to spend a month cranking out holsters again. That’s not the case. There are other things in my life that are going to take some immediate priority for a while. But, there’s a gun show in January I’d like to participate in, and I should continue expanding the catalog so I can make as good an impression as possible.

As stated before, I can start offering custom colors basically anytime, except for the time it would take to create the back-end data and product listings for that. So, that’s not happening yet, even though the work required to launch that all at once grows with every additional model I add support for.

Focus Points

This month, I should be able to add holsters (but maybe not mag pouches) for the Glock 19, the Taurus GX4, and the Taurus G2S.

As always, if you’re reading this, I appreciate your consideration. If you want something other than what we’ve got listed, give us a shout. -🦀
